stimulating hair growth. Rosemary is popular because of its scent and availability so it pays to know more about how to use rosemary for hair loss.

Tip #1: Make a shampoo.

For the treatment of your hair loss, you may prepare the following which includes rosemary, grape seed oil, covered container, glass, iron or stainless steel pots (medium and large) and glass jar or any container. Fresh or dried rosemary can be used in making the shampoo to treat hair loss which depends on the availability of the herb. You can store the fresh herbs in a covered container and place it in a warm place so as to dry the herbs.
Tip #2: Prepare the leaves.

Remove each leaf from the rosemary stem after which you store them in the covered container. Let the rosemary sit overnight inside the container to give enough time for the leaves to dry. If the leaves are not well dried, it will cause cloudy appearance in the result product and this can be dangerous as it allows mold to grow.

Tip #3: Use the rosemary to create a scent.

After the rosemary had dried, place them in a medium-sized pot. The more rosemary used, the stronger the scent. You can also add grape seed oil enough to cover the rosemary. It is recommended to use a glass, iron or stainless steel pot when making the rosemary oil to avoid chemical reactions that may occur from substances like aluminum or copper.

Tip #4: Heat the mixture.

Place the medium-sized pot inside or on top a large pot of water then heat it to allow the mixture infused with the rosemary.  Use a slow fire to avoid burning the oil and destroying the mixture. Wait for three hours before removing the pot from the heat.

Tip #5: Strain the mixture.

You can now strain the oil mixture from the pot and use a clean glass container or jar to put the finished product. Store it in a cool dark place for overnight to allow the mixture to cool.

Tip #6: Use the rosemary.

The next day, you can already use the rosemary oil in massaging your hair when you take a shower. Rinse after massaging and repeat it if needed. The rosemary oil can help treat hair loss and can also make a brunette hair shiny.

Tip #7: Blend it with other essential oils.

You can also blend 15 drops of rosemary essential oil with 2 oz. sweet almond oil, 1 tsp. wheat germ oil, ½ oz. avocado oil and ½ tsp. lecithin in a plastic bowl. Mix them together until all the ingredients are thoroughly blended. The other products are available from organic food stores while rosemary oil can be purchased at candle-supply stores. You can store the finished product in a glass jar.

Tip #8: Test the mixture.

When using the oil for your hair, first boil at least 2 cups of water then set aside. Place the jar of the rosemary oil mixture into the hot water to heat the mixture before using it. Test the mixture later and be sure it’s not too hot for your hair.

Tip #9: Apply the mixture.

Apply the rosemary oil on your hair from roots to tips then massage well on your scalp. When you’re done, use shower cap to cover your hair and let the rosemary oil soak in for 30 minutes. Then rinse and shampoo your hair the usual way.
